At the heart of our PBIS framework are our schoolwide expectations known as F.I.R.E.

Students demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and accountability in their actions.

Students show kindness and consideration toward themselves, others, and their environment.

Engaged in Learning

Students actively participate in the learning process and take ownership of their education.

These expectations guide behavior in every area of campus, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, common areas, athletic events, and extracurricular activities. Through consistent modeling and reinforcement, students learn the skills necessary to become successful learners and responsible citizens.

Dragon Dollars: Rewarding Positive Choices

At DJMS, we believe positive behavior deserves recognition.

Students who consistently demonstrate F.I.R.E. expectations may earn Dragon Dollars from teachers and staff members. Dragon Dollars serve as a way to celebrate positive choices and encourage students to continue demonstrating excellence in their daily actions.

Dragon Dollars may be used to:

  • Shop in the PBIS Store for school supplies and incentive items

  • Attend special PBIS events, games, socials, and celebrations

  • Earn individual, classroom, and grade-level incentives

  • Participate in recognition activities throughout the school year

Please note: Dragon Dollars are non-transferable and may only be used by the student who earned them.
