SDOC Athletic Eligibility Criteria: Attached Document
#Learning is required!
Being a student-athlete in middle school is about more than just playing sports—it's about building character, discipline, and responsibility. Student-athletes learn how to manage their time, balance academics with extracurricular commitments, and work as part of a team. Participation in athletics promotes physical health, mental resilience, and school pride, while also teaching valuable life skills like leadership, perseverance, and goal setting. At this stage, student-athletes begin to understand the importance of accountability both on the field and in the classroom—laying the foundation for success in high school, college, and beyond.
