At Denn John Middle School (DJMS), we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer Dragon’s Den—our daily club time where students explore their passions, build friendships, and get involved in fun, creative ways!
Dragon’s Den is our daily club and enrichment time, hosted every day during lunch in the Media Center. Whether you’re into building, creating, writing, or watching anime, there’s something for everyone!
Location: DJMS Media Center
Hosted by: Ms. Cole, Media Specialist
When: Every school day during lunch
Here are just a few of the clubs we’ve offered in Dragon’s Den:
Lego Club – Build, design, and let your imagination run wild
Art Club – Draw, paint, and create masterpieces with fellow artists
Creative Writing Club – Write stories, poems, and sharpen your author skills
Anime Club – Watch, discuss, and connect with other anime fans
We’re always looking to add more clubs! If you have a great idea, let’s make it happen!
Starting a club is easy—and we love student leadership! To start a new club, just follow these steps:
See Ms. Cole in the Media Center before or after school to pick up a Club Application.
Meet these requirements:
Be in good academic standing
Have no more than 2 major discipline referrals
Gather at least 3 students to form your club
Ensure your club’s content is school-appropriate and geared for middle school students.
Once approved, your club will join the Dragon’s Den lineup! Note, Ms. Cole has to right to dismiss or close specific clubs during Dragon’s Den if inappropriate behavior occurs.
Joining a club is a great way to meet new people, explore your interests, and grow as a student and leader. Whether you're looking to join or start a club, Dragon’s Den is the place to be!
